Most likely to be successful!

Imagine you are standing in a shopping mall that sells human qualities, skills and characteristics. You have the opportunity to pick any quality, any skill and any characteristic you can wish, imagine or think of.

So? What are a few qualities you would want to pick that could almost guarantee your success in life anywhere and in all situations? Success in relationships, in business, at work or whatever challenge/endeavour you take. One (or a few) qualities that will work everywhere, every time?

Here are what I find are the most rewarding ones:

• An ability to analyse,
• learn, and
• improve yourself!

A person who has the ability to analyse the situation, learn and improve him/herself is the super-hero in all situations. It may take him/her multiple attempts, multiple rounds of analysis, learnings and rounds of improvements — but this repeated loop will get him/her out of every situation successfully, and brilliantly so.

That means a person who has these qualities exerts outwards but improves inwards. The person who owns these qualities has an ability to analyse outside as well as inside, but given the opportunity, the person will always act inwards, learn and improve him.

That also means the person who owns these skills will have an internal locus of control. He would believe himself to be the driver and in control of situations.

That also means such a person will never be looking to change others, change the environment or the situation outside.

He would also know what he gives out is what he get back. He would know the law of reciprocity; the world is a reflection of who he is within, thus instead of working on the external elements, he would work on the internal self to improve… more and more and even more… and eventually be good enough, and then better than the challenge he’s facing. He would know the world treats you as you do to the world and the moment he treats the world better, the world reciprocates better.

Such a person will never complain. They will never wish things were easier outside, or he had more money, or a better opportunity, or a better time to operate. Such a person will utilise all he has, all situations to his advantage and continuously improve, learn analyse and improve as a never-ending loop.

And the most important part: such a person will be independent of ego. The person knows success lies in being better, and ego is a gate, a barrier that prevents learning, improving and expanding of self. Anyone who is stung by ego will defend themselves, would resist, feel challenged and would want to prove/justify what they are, and when you try to justify and defend your weaknesses, you get to keep them for life.
